Inspiraties van Generaties

This is an exhibition to mark the fact that Louis Hankart has been teaching at the Vakschool for Gold- and Silversmithing in Schoonhoven for 34 years. He is leaving the college in 2007. He has contributed a great deal in various ways to the programme of the students. He set up the course for specialised decorative techniques, like mokume gane, granulation, incrustation, damascene, anodising titanium and aluminium, chasing, chemical colouring of metals, niello. For 10 years he was responsible for organising the so-called mini-enterprises. 7 of these won prices, also internationally.

The work by the students consists mainly of jewelry (Louis Hankart's main subject), but also includes larger work.

So many students have sent in work, that the exhibition is taking place in four locations :
